Neela Kler: UNDERSTOOD / BACKWARDS / Until July 12th, 2025
Clay remembers. It holds time, tension, and the trace of hands.
In a world that feels increasingly fractured, Kler’s work offers a meditation on presence and the spiritual dimensions of making. Through handbuilt forms marked by fingerprints, repairs, and visible seams, Kler invites viewers to encounter imperfection not as failure, but as a testament to endurance and a site of transformation.
“To remember is to hold something in existence, it’s an active form of attention. That idea took shape while creating these pieces, which record both fracture and care.” Kler reflects.
